What is Milly Macrame?
A small shop run exclusively by me, Milly! My real name is Camilla, and I'm the mind and hands that create the jewelry and the heart that keeps it all going. If you'd like to learn more about me and macramé, click below.
How did you learn this technique?
I've known the basics of knots since I was a child, but I picked them up again a few years ago thanks to the many tutorials available for free on YouTube. The rest, however, is the fruit of my ingenuity and countless attempts over the years.
Do you also create custom jewelry?
Yes, if a piece of jewelry is no longer available or you would like it with a particular stone/color, click below for more information.

What materials do you use in your creations?
The thread I use is waxed polyester. The wax (which coats the thread) helps with the knotting process and makes the jewelry rigid. Over time, the wax melts and comes away completely, leaving the jewelry softer.
The stones I use are all natural , hand-selected, and sourced from all over the world. The beads can be made of a variety of materials (stones and minerals, various nickel-free metal alloys, steel, brass, wood, etc.); if you have allergies or sensitivities to any particular materials, please contact me before purchasing.
How to take care of your jewelry?
Macramé jewelry is very durable and can be worn for years to come, provided you keep it in tip-top condition with a few simple precautions: avoid contact with water (especially seawater and chlorinated/soapy water); when not wearing, store your jewelry away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Are your jewels original designs?
Yes, all the models you'll find here were entirely conceived, designed, and created by me. Behind each model lie days, weeks, or even months of research, planning, experimentation, and testing.
